Our Mission & History
"The Vietnamese Student Association at UC San Diego strives to promote and preserve the Vietnamese culture. We are dedicated to providing resources and a safe space for students to unite as a Vietnamese-American community. This organization is for nonprofit."
The Vietnamese Student Association at UC San Diego, established in 1977, has grown and progressed into an organization that exposes the Vietnamese culture through academics, social, cultural, and community events. Each year VSA at UC San Diego strives to educate and help its members find an interest in the Vietnamese culture and encourage them to get involved with the community.
Our Four Pillars
Social
Meeting new people and building bonds with one another such as the ACE Program and House System
Community
Strive to create a supportive and cooperative community for those of Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese descent
Academic
Main priority of obtaining good grades and graduating within a reasonable amount of time
Cultural
Stay in touch with cultural roots through our events such as Vietnamese Culture Night and Black April
VSA is one of UC San Diego's largest cultural organizations striving to create long-lasting bonds and friendships between its members through frequent events and socials.

VSA at UC San Diego isn’t just a student org, it’s a home away from home. It’s a place where strangers become close friends, and where you’ll find support, community, and endless opportunities to grow. Whether you're here to embrace Vietnamese culture, meet new people, or just find your place on campus, VSA has something special for you.
